## Caption

The BMW iX3 50 xDrive is finally here — and I got to drive it in Germany before it reaches US shores. In this video, I test it as a daily driver on Munich's back roads, push it on the Autobahn to its 212 km/h top speed, and cover everything you need to know: range, charging, the new Heart of Joy platform, iDrive X, the controversial exterior design, and the hands-free highway assistant.

This is the dual-motor xDrive setup with 463–469 HP, 476 lb-ft of torque, and a 0–60 in 4.9 seconds. It rides on the new 800V Neue Klasse architecture with a 100+ kWh battery, EPA-rated at 436 miles of range.

I break down what's great (brake regen, suspension, rear space, frunk), what's not (no physical vent controls, no iDrive knob, some cheap plastics), and whether this is the EV that replaces my BMW iX.
