The 2026 BMW iX xDrive45 is the new entry point for BMW's flagship electric SUV — and this is the first time BMW has brought the 45 model to the US market. With 402 horsepower, 516 lb-ft of torque, a 94.8 kWh battery, and an EPA-estimated range of up to 329 miles, it's a serious upgrade over what came before.

But here's the real question: with the BMW iX3 arriving in just a few months, does the iX still make sense in 2026? I've been daily driving this car for months in  Chicago  and I've also had time behind the wheel of the new  iX3. In this video I give you my honest take.
