❗️Lotus just turned the Emira into its most hardcore form yet with the reveal of the new Emira 420 Sport.

Lotus says it’s officially the lightest and most powerful Emira ever built, producing 420 PS (around 414 hp) and 500 Nm of torque from its AMG-sourced 2.0-liter turbocharged engine.

The lightweight-focused sports car features forged wheels, a titanium exhaust, carbon fiber aero parts, a lithium-ion battery, and adjustable Multimatic dampers designed for sharper track performance.

Lotus claims the Emira 420 Sport can hit 62 mph in just 3.9 seconds while reaching a top speed of 186 mph.

The optional Lightweight Handling Pack also adds more aggressive aero and increased downforce while reducing overall weight by roughly 55 pounds.

Many enthusiasts are already comparing it to legendary lightweight Lotus models like the Exige and Evora Sport because of its focus on driver engagement over luxury.

The reveal is especially significant because Lotus recently confirmed the Emira will continue as one of the brand’s last combustion-focused sports cars before hybrid performance models arrive later this decade.
