Flat feet cause 4 compensations above the ankle. Here are 3 drills that reverse the chain.
Your flat feet are not just a foot problem.

When your arch collapses, it sets off a chain reaction that travels through your entire lower body. Your foot rolls in, your knee follows, your femur internally rotates, and your pelvis tips forward into anterior tilt. That is how you end up with tight hip flexors, dormant glutes, and a lower back doing overtime just to keep you upright. It is not one issue. It is a sequence of compensations that starts at the ground.

Most people try to fix their knees or their hips in isolation. But if the foundation is unstable, everything above it will keep compensating. Research on closed kinetic chain mechanics consistently shows that foot pronation increases tibial and femoral internal rotation, loading structures upstream that were never designed to handle that stress.

This reel walks you through the four-part chain reaction from flat feet to anterior pelvic tilt, then gives you three drills to reconnect your feet to your hips. Single leg balance, hip aeroplanes, and curtsy lunges. Simple, progressive, and targeted at the exact muscles in the chain.

Save this for your next session.
