'60 Minutes' correspondent Scott Pelley has registered his discontent with the direction the organization is headed under the leadership of Bari Weiss. According to the New York Times, citing an audio recording the outlet obtained, Pelley had a tense exchange with 60 Minutes' new Executive Producer Nick Bilton, telling Bilton he questioned Weiss' decisions. According to the recording, Pelley declared, "She is murdering '60 Minutes.' She does not love this place. She was brought in to kill it, and she's been doing exactly that." In a major shakeup May 28, CBS ousted Bilton's predecessor, '60 Minutes' veteran Tanya Simon, and fired two correspondents, Sharyn Alfonsi and Cecilia Vega.
