how to build ‘taste’ in an ai world 🧍‍♀️

‘taste’ might be the most overused word of the year. it is invoked like a magic spell (the one thing AI supposedly can’t touch) but it’s hard to know what it actually is or how to get more of it.

so i tried to turn it into something you can actually practice: orthogonal intersection.

the gist is this: your edge isn’t being slightly better than everyone at the same thing. it’s the collision of two unrelated things you happen to care about - the weirder the overlap, the fewer people standing there with you.
