I had to grow up fast in those years and learned what it really takes to be a woman in sports: navigating the emotional highs and lows, battling with myself through injuries, handling the financial pressures year to year, and facing the big question marks of personal identity, and life outside the lines.

Now it’s time to give back — to the game that made me, to my fans that supported me, and to the next generation chasing their dream. I’ve partnered with athleticareleve to share my story and reveal the person behind the player.
