1. I started reading one finance book
Not for school. Just because I was curious.
Right now it’s The Buyside — kinda feels like a peek into the industry’s backdoor. One chapter in the morning with coffee hits different.

2. Cleaned up my CV one afternoon
It’s wild how fast it gets outdated.
I tweaked the phrasing, added a project I was proud of, and boom — felt 10x more confident when I looked at it.

3. Sent a few chill messages on LinkedIn
No big campaign or anything. Just reached out to 2-3 alumni.
Asked them what they wish they had done before recruiting — ended up with some real gems.

4. Made myself a little Google Sheet
Nothing fancy. Just tracking the firms I’m interested in, who I’ve spoken to, deadlines, that sort of thing.
Kinda satisfying, ngl.

5. Tried to stay plugged into the markets
Not day trading or anything, but following what’s going on.
Jotted down some thoughts after a few earnings calls — feels cool to build that habit now.

It’s not some grindset summer, but I know come September I’ll be glad I didn’t just scroll TikTok the whole time 😅
