Did you know alumnus Edward Joseph Dwight Jr., BS ’57, became the oldest person to travel to space at 90 years old during Blue Origin’s NS-25 mission in 2024? 🛰️🧑‍🚀🚀

With a degree in aeronautical engineering from Arizona State University, Dwight was also America’s first Black astronaut candidate, originally selected for astronaut training in 1961 — more than 60 years before finally reaching space.

From test pilot to sculptor to record-breaking space traveler, his journey is a powerful reminder that it’s never too late to reach new heights!
