Moraine Lake today! Long day was long. Good though.

The Parks Canada shuttles opened up today for Moraine Lake and Lake Louise visits. I believe it's only $12.50? Leaving from the Lake Louise park & ride (the ski hill parking lot), you can hop on whichever bus you'd prefer, to Moraine Lake or Lake Louise directly. You use the same ticket all day, just showing it to the driver.

From Moraine Lake you can then visit Lake Louise, or head back to park & ride. If you're at Lake Louise, you can visit Moraine Lake or back to park & ride. It's actually very efficient and the buses come regularly. You can come and go as much as you'd like until the end of the day.

The worst part is all the tourists but that's to be expected 🙃 Nobody walks on the right. Everyone goes in every direction kinda oblivious to everyone else. Patience required. Pack extra.

Moraine Lake was windy and cold but not too bad. Was expecting it to snow (was in the forecast) but it didn't. It wasn't even raining out there. There was still some snow in some places. The water level is still low so no canoes, but it was like 95% free of ice.

The private shuttles are probably a much more relaxed experience but they also cost a bit more. Haven't tried one. They're probably all that's left for booking though.
