Hi everyone! My name is Lana, and I am a current Girl Up Global Teen Advisor! Last March, I was honored to serve as a delegate at the 70th Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70) at United Nations HQ in New York City, repping American youth with UNA-USA una.usa! ⁠

1 - I had the chance to meet my fellow TA, (luiza.caleia), and a past TA, Ilinca (ilincadro)! ⁠
2 - On the grounds of UNHQ!⁠
3 - Had the opportunity to speak with Felipe Paulier, Assistant Secretary-General for Youth Affairs (unyouthaffairs)⁠
4 - Supporting the Sustainable Development Goals! ⁠
5 - Attended such an inspiring menstrual equity session, and met Stephanie Stark, Digital Engagement Coordinator at PERIOD. Movement (periodmovement). ⁠
6 - Met Kailey P., my fellow past Girl Scouts delegate from CSW69!⁠
7 - With my fellow delegate, Shivi K., also repping USA youth!⁠
8 - SDG5!⁠
9 - Final day at CSW70, finishing off my transformational and inspiring experience. ⁠

My experience at this conference was truly moving. I met some of the most inspiring, genuine, and powerful women from across the globe. I know sometimes the fight feels hopeless–but I promise, there are people out there still fighting. Us youth are still fighting, working towards change in a world that discourages it–especially from young girls and women.⁠
