We have officially changed our handle and NCNO GOLF LAB has putted out on 18 for the last time.

Golf Ex Machina is more than just club building, and aligned with where I am at today - golf focused and collaborative. I love the folks I’ve met through golf and club building, and it’s this that has inspired me to take the next step. I am also a storyteller, filmmaker and creative, and Golf Ex Machina is now that outlet.

I want to thank Troy Knight - @troy_a_knight - for being a part of the collective. Troy’s eye and the images he produces not only inspire me to get out and play golf, but inspire creativity. His photography will be available for licensing very soon, and we’re excited to share a beautiful Chambers Bay spread in the next few days, with more to come.

With Golf Ex Machina, I wanted a name that somewhat captured the magical nature of the game. Golf Ex Machina is a force beyond the fairway. It’s when the unexpected enters the game, quiet and uninvited but unmistakable. A sudden shift in wind that favors your shot. A perfect bounce off the bank. A moment of clarity on a swing you’ve struggled with for weeks. It’s where fate and brilliance arrive unscripted just when you need it most. But it’s more than luck. It’s the collision of preparation and possibility. The intersection of craft, instinct, and something you can’t quite name. A reminder that golf, like life, is never fully in your control. And that’s exactly what makes it beautiful.

Todd
