Six months in. Talking to camera in her living room. Over a million dollars for her #jjyapchallenge launch 

This story’s been all over my feed this week and I love it. A woman called Jessie started a brand new account six months ago and just went all in on talking to camera. No fancy production. Just her, her couch, riffing about the millennial career crisis.

Note this isn’t her first rodeo but it was a new acc 📱

People recognised themselves in her straight away. The account grew fast because she was consistent and she had something real to say that many could relate to. 

And then they started asking her to teach them her #yapping skills. 

So she built a six week challenge, sold 3,000 spots, and made over a million dollars. 💸 

Not off a following she’d spent years building. Off six months of showing up as herself until the right people felt like they actually knew her.

That’s the bit that can’t be faked. Your point of view. The specific way you say the thing everyone else is thinking but hasn’t quite put into words yet.

You don’t have to be the most polished person in the room. You just have to keep showing up as yourself, consistently, so the right people start to feel like they know you. 

An account that’s six months old can outsell one that’s been around for years when the person behind it has built that kind of connection.
