Remember the Camaro that was stolen from a Beltsville driveway on Memorial Day, recovered by police, and then stolen again just hours later from a dealership lot?

News4 has now obtained surveillance video showing exactly how that second theft happened.

The video shows a motorcycle pulling onto a dealership lot in Laurel. A person hops off the back, runs straight to the Camaro, gets inside and drives away. The motorcycle and Camaro then leave the lot together.

The 2023 Camaro ZL1 wasn’t just another car. Mimi Arnett and her son’s father bought it as a gift after he earned his third graduate degree from the University of Maryland.

After News4 reported the initial theft, the Camaro was found abandoned in Adelphi and processed for evidence. It was then towed to the AutoNation dealership in Laurel, where it was supposed to undergo an inspection.

Instead, Arnett got another call. The car had been stolen again.

Police are now working to identify the people seen in the surveillance video. No arrests have been made, and the Camaro still hasn’t been found.
