Heartbreak doesn’t just break your heart. It breaks your sense of self.

I know what it feels like to lose yourself inside love. To give so much that when it ends you look around and can’t find yourself anywhere.

The hardest part of my own healing wasn’t missing the other person. It was remembering who Nyomi was before she became someone’s partner.

I had to go back and find her. Piece by piece. Choice by choice.
