A Mastic Beach man has been arrested for allegedly shooting two people during an argument earlier this week, according to the Suffolk County Police Department.

The man, Matthew McCue, was charged with assault, reckless endangerment and other crimes, according to a department news release. He's to be arraigned later at First District Court in Central Islip.

The shooting occurred in Mastic Beach, in front of a home on Woodside Road. A group of people were arguing around 10 p.m., McCue drew a handgun and fired and struck 2 people. Neither person was seriously injured, the release said, and their names weren't disclosed.
