🤙 New sport. No training. Full send. Are you ready? We are not ready. 🐾

We are excited.
We are also terrified.
Both of these feelings are valid and neither of them slowed him down for a single second. 😐

He saw the sport.
He assessed the sport.
He did not research the sport, did not consult anyone who has done the sport, did not watch a single tutorial about the sport — just looked at it the way he looks at everything and decided the only thing standing between him and doing it was the few seconds it took to get there. 🎋

The equipment fit eventually.
The helmet is a conversation we're not having.
The waiver was signed before we finished reading it and we're fairly certain he signed it wrong on purpose. 😤

One sport was not enough.
Obviously one sport was not enough.
By noon he had cycled through things that professional athletes train years for and treated each one as a warm up for the next with the restless energy of a creature who experiences adrenaline as a baseline and is simply chasing something that feels slightly above normal. 👁️
