Today, June 6, marks South Korea’s 71st Memorial Day (현충일) 🇰🇷 

It’s a day to honor the loyalty and sacrifice of those who gave their lives to defend the country — not only soldiers who died in the Korean War, but all who laid down their lives for Korea’s safety and freedom. 

While it may be seen by some as just another day off, we hope it serves as a moment to reflect on why we’re able to rest today — and the sacrifices that made today’s Korea possible. 🙏 

오늘 6월 6일은 대한민국 제71회 현충일입니다 🇰🇷

현충일은 한국전쟁에서 전사한 군인들뿐만 아니라, 대한민국의 자유와 안전을 위해 목숨을 바친 모든 순국선열과 호국영령을 기리는 날입니다.

오늘만큼은 우리가 누리고 있는 평화와 일상이 어떤 희생 위에 세워졌는지 한 번쯤 되새겨보는 시간이 되었으면 합니다. 🙏
