As we enter June, I find myself reflecting on courage.

Not the courage that makes headlines.
Not the courage that wears a cape.

The courage that wakes up every morning and chooses authenticity.

The courage to stand in your truth when the world would rather hand you a script.

The courage to question what you’ve been taught, to release what no longer fits, and to become who you were always meant to be.

Today, I pause—not to explain, not to justify—but to honor my firstborn son (biologically)!

To witness her walking her path with a bravery that humbles me.

Transitions are not gentle things. They ask for faith. For resilience. For fire. For becoming.

And against every prediction, every judgment, every weight, and every odd stacked against her, she continues to rise into herself.

I am proud.

Not the loud, performative kind of pride, but the deep, soul-level pride of a mother watching her child choose authenticity over comfort, truth over expectation, and joy over fear.

As Pride Month begins, I offer recognition to all those who dare to challenge the status quo in pursuit of a life that feels honest, whole, and free.

To those who have been told they are too much.

To those who have been told they are not enough.

To those who have endured rejection and still chose love.

To those who have carried burdens that others could not see and still found the strength to rise.

To those who continue to create space for themselves and others to exist fully and unapologetically.

You are among my heroes.

No capes.

Just extraordinary human beings doing the sacred work of becoming.

My heroes wear courage.
They wear resilience.
They wear truth.

They choose joy when joy is not always easy to choose.

They choose themselves, again and again.

And for that, they have my respect.

Growth is sacred.

Becoming is sacred.

And courage, especially the courage to live authentically, is one of the most beautiful acts a human being can offer this world.

Happy Pride Month.

With love,

A proud mother. ❤️🏳️‍🌈✨
