Does this convict you? I believe that our “busy” lives have caused us to forget about others. We’ve lost the zeal to go out and lead others to Christ, yet doing everything for ourselves and our own salvation. We have Good News, yet, we aren’t willing to share it with others. Secretly, we’re selfish and some of us may have the spirit of Jonah and we don’t think that others deserve God’s forgiveness and grace, especially our enemies. We don’t want God to change their lives, we want them to perish because of the hurt they’ve caused us in the past. We don’t want God to be merciful and compassionate to them yet we are thankful that He was merciful and compassionate to us. Is this you?

We tend to forget about those who don’t yet know Christ. We put ourselves at the top of our prayer lists yet in reality we should be putting others for their salvation. Honestly, sharing The Gospel just isn’t that important to us. Is this you?

If we take following Christ seriously, that means we should be on a mission to tell people about Jesus at every chance that we get. And to pray for God to open up doors and opportunities for us. To pray that God leads us to those who are willing to accept The Good news of Jesus Christ. Matthew 9: 36-38 states “When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. He said to his disciples, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.”

The moral of the story is: Many people are ready to give their lives to Christ if someone would show them how. Jesus commands us to pray that people will respond to this need for workers. In reality, when we pray for something, often God answers our prayers by using us. 

Are you prepared to let God use you to show another person the way to Him? Who is that person that comes to your mind that doesn’t know Jesus? Would you be willing to pray for them? Would you be willing to share the Gospel with them? Who are you directing to the Kingdom?
