Have you ever heard anyone say that toads are toxic if your dog licks them?! ✨SHARE✨with someone who needs to know about this. Well, it’s true, but in a FEW U.S. states. If you are in one of these states and your dog is in contact with either of these species be sure to find your nearest emergency vet. However most toads aren’t toxic, although most American toads they do secrete bitter tastes out of their pores when licked which may cause drooling and nausea it is not harmful.
