❓👋👩‍👧‍👦 Ok everybody ✅ you asked. Here’s the answer. ✨

🥶 Over winter break, a few of you messaged me asking: What’s the best way to travel into New York City with kids? 🗽👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

👋💁🏼‍♀️I’m a New Jersey mom living near NYC in the Meadowlands area, and I’ve got a 3-year-old and an 8-year-old. And honestly? We drive in. 🚗

🅿️ We book our parking ahead of time using spothero 💰 to save money and to know exactly where we’re going—less stress, better planning 🙌. I usually bring the stroller because toddler life = pick me up, I’m tired, my legs hurt 😅 PLUS in the winter it’s amazing for storing coats, bags, and everything else when places don’t give you anywhere to put your stuff 🧥👜❄️

🚨 BUT THIS TRIP WAS A BIG MILESTONE FOR US 🚨
This was the first time we went into NYC with NO stroller 😱👏 And guess what… we made it! There were definitely moments my little one wanted to be carried, but we planned smart—parked close to our destination and kept expectations realistic.

✔️ 3-year-old
✔️ 8-year-old
✔️ NYC
✔️ No stroller
✔️ Still smiling at the end 😄

As the kids get older, we’ll absolutely use NJ Transit trains 🚆 more often because we love to walk and explore 👟🗺️. But for now, driving in feels safer and more comfortable for our family, and that’s what works for us ❤️
