For many older adults — especially those living with dementia, mobility challenges, or sensory sensitivity — the bathing process can trigger anxiety, stress, and resistance. For caregivers or loved ones, this can be physically challenging and emotionally stressful. 

Maintaining coverage during bathing can dramatically reduce a loved one’s concerns with modesty. When we are able to protect ones’ dignity, we are able to encourage them into the bath.

A well-designed senior bathing cape is not just a towel. It is intentionally created to: provide full front and back coverage; allow caregivers to wash one area at a time; stay secure during transfers; dry quickly; and, provide warmth before, during, and after showering.
