A letter to Nebraska Softball: Some seasons are measured by scores. Others are measured by the people who shared them.

A group of women arrived in the Fall of 2025 with dreams, expectations, and a belief in something bigger than themselves.

Along the way, they became a family. Through long practices, bus rides, celebrations, heartbreaks, and unforgettable moments, they built something that can’t be found in a box score.

They carried the pride of Nebraska wherever they went, playing for the name on the front of the jersey and for each other every step of the way.

A sleeping giant was restored back to national prominence where they belong:

🥎 Big Ten Regular Season and Tournament Champions
🥎 Set record attendance at home games at Ronda Revelle Field inside Bowlin Stadium
🥎 Swept the NCAA Regionals and the first Super Regional they hosted in program history
🥎 Earned the program’s first No. 1 seed in the polls
🥎 Set a program record with 27 straight wins
🥎 Made it back to the WCWS for the first time since 2013 and won their first game in OKC since 2002

The season may have ended without their first NCAA title, but its echoes remain in the memories they created, the lives they touched, and the legacy they leave behind.

And through it all, Husker Nation never stopped showing up. From Bowlin Stadium to Oklahoma City, the sea of red turned every game into something bigger than softball.

Years from now, the results will fade. The moments won’t.

And neither will this team. Go Big Red 🌽❤️🥎
