1️⃣. Losses are not the problem - your reaction to them is

Every trader loses. The best traders in the world lose on roughly half their trades. The difference is not the loss itself - it is what happens in the five minutes after. An undisciplined trader immediately looks for the next trade to cancel out the pain. A disciplined trader closes the chart, logs the trade, and moves on. Your ability to take a loss cleanly, without chasing, without spiralling, is one of the most valuable skills you can build.

2️⃣. 2. If you need every trade to win, your position size is too big

When a single loss genuinely upsets you - not just frustrates you, but derails your entire session - it almost always means you are risking more than you can emotionally handle. This is not a mindset problem, it is a sizing problem. Risk should sit at a level where a loss is a normal, expected part of the process. The moment a loss feels like a disaster, it will cause you to make decisions that turn it into one.

3️⃣. 3. You need a losing trade routine, not just a trading routine

Most traders have a pre-session routine. Almost none have a post-loss routine. After a stop-out, step away from the screen for at least fifteen minutes. Write down what happened - not to beat yourself up, but to separate the trade from your identity. Ask yourself: did I follow my plan?
If yes, it was a good trade that lost. If no, that is the only thing worth fixing. A structured response to a loss is what stops one bad trade from becoming five.

If this hits home, make sure to follow ☑️
