Ottawa could see significant freezing rain today… and it can cause serious problems. 😳

A significant amount of ice could accumulate, making travel dangerous and potentially causing damage.

Tree branches can fall under the weight of the ice, sometimes onto power lines, which may lead to power outages.

We saw this in April 2023, when several parts of Ottawa lost power for 24 hours or even longer.

Take precautions when leaving your home and watch out for slippery surfaces.
