🍁 Sugar Shack season is here! The sweetest time of the year in Ottawa!

I visited Proulx Farm in Cumberland yesterday and indulged in all the classics: sausages, ham, scrambled eggs, home fries, beans, and pancakes drenched in maple syrup 😋. So yummy! Everything was accompanied by bread and croissants that were just as delicious. Catering is handled by golly.thatsgood , a guarantee of quality. I know firsthand because they catered gourmet sandwiches for my birthday party in December.

For drinks, you can enjoy hot apple cider, hot chocolate, coffee, and tea, along with pop cans and juices. For dessert, there are freshly baked strawberry, raspberry, and blueberry pies, as well as taffy on the snow.

After our meal, we explored the farm, which has been run by the Proulx family since 1920. We went on a horse-drawn wagon ride with gorgeous animals that, we were told, weigh about one ton each! We also visited the petting farm, where we saw goats, lambs, chickens, ducks, and rabbits.

Other highlights of the farm include tractor rides, fire pits, country trails, outdoor play parks and slides, and the century-old Sugar Bush shack.

The Sugar Shack is open Saturdays and Sundays until April 12, as well as during March Break (March 16–20) and Easter (April 3–6). The pancake house is open from 9am to 3pm (last seating at 2pm).

Enjoy!
