Going to Winterlude events in Ottawa is fun ❄️, but parking can be a real hassle if you don’t know the city well 🚗😵‍💫

Don’t panic, I’ve got you covered! Here’s where to park at the three main Winterlude sites. Save this post 💾 and share it with any friend who’s new to the city 👋

Confederation Park 🧊

This is where you’ll find the ice sculptures ✨
The closest parking option is City Hall’s underground parking, located across from Confederation Park at 110 Laurier St W. It’s also the cheapest parking lot in town 💰, only $2 all day on weekends. If it’s full, head to the National Arts Centre underground parking at 99 Elgin St, right next to Confederation Park. The weekend flat rate is $12.

Jacques-Cartier Park (Gatineau) 🛷

This is where the snow slides are for some thrilling tubing 🎢
Unfortunately, there’s no parking lot close to the park entrance 😕. Your only option is street parking, which can be very challenging on weekends and you’ll be lucky if you find a spot 🍀 I highly recommend taking the Sno-Bus 🚌, a free shuttle that runs on weekends between ByWard Market (York St and Sussex Dr) and Jacques-Cartier Park.

ByWard Market 🍽️🛍️

The cheapest parking lots in the market area are located on Clarence St at 70 and 141 Clarence St. They offer a flat rate of $8 for the entire day on weekends 💵
