I think for most of us immigrants who come from warmer places, winter is something hard to endure… but aren’t winter landscapes beautiful? ❄️

The quiet whiteness, the purity of that white blanket of snow covering the city, took my breath away. When I go for walks downtown, I almost forget about the cold and focus instead on my admiration for this gorgeous city I live in. ❤️

I remember when I had just arrived in Ottawa, someone told me that each winter would feel worse than the last. I listened, not knowing whether that prophecy would come true. Fortunately for me, each winter has felt easier to bear.

And this is now my 9th winter in Ottawa. Hard to believe!
