At the 2026 World Health Assembly, specialolympicsswitzerland athlete and wwgswitzerland2029 Athlete Ambassador Pearl Lüthy called on global health leaders to strengthen inclusive health policies by putting the lived experience of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities at the center.

Her message was clear: “When you make a plan for health, ask us. When you write a policy, ask us. When you decide what training health workers need, ask us… Nothing about us without us."
