If you grew up in New York, you definitely know at least one guy who does these things. –– My friends are all moving south.  My kids live elsewhere. Maybe I push too hard or or… I was recently at Bar 6 having dinner at the bar and three couples walked in about my age. Empty nesters and they raised their kids in Ridgewood NJ and all decided to not throw in the towel, but to get some of that magic back. They all sold their NJ nest egg and bought a small place ( separate places ) on the Upper East Side.  They were tipsy and laughing and loving their rebirth!
