Last weekend, nearly 200 people came out to The Center to celebrate Transgender Day of Visibility!💗🎉⁠

“There were so many people who were visiting The Center for the first time and it was wonderful to see how welcomed they felt,” shared Joy Iwancio, our Support Group Coordinator. “It was also so wonderful to see families attend with parents supporting their trans and gender diverse kids.”⁠

“My favorite part of the event was coordinating the speed friending,” reminisced Sable Schultz, Director of Transgender Services. “I received several comments from attendees about how much they enjoyed getting to meet people and form connections through their conversations.”⁠

“I was also so impressed by the eloquence and passion of the speakers at our open mic,” said Joy. “It was such an amazing day celebrating trans and gender diverse people.”🏳️‍⚧️⁠
