Happy Ace Week! 💜 This week is a time to support and strive to better understand the experiences and identities of individuals who fall on the asexual & aromantic spectrums. We are sending love to all our ace & aro community members this week!⁠

In honor of Ace Week, here are some facts about ace and aro identities:⁠
⁠
💜 Both asexuality and aromanticism are umbrella terms that encompass wide varieties of identities. Identities such as demisexual, grey-ace, and queerplatonic fall under the ace umbrella. ⁠
⁠
🖤 While some asexual people may have little or no desire to engage in sexual activities, many desire emotionally intimate relationships and may have partners and children. ⁠
⁠
🤍 Aro people engage in relationships too – meaningful, loving partnerships do not have romantic or sexual in nature. ⁠
⁠
💜 Asexuality and aromanticism exists on spectrums, and every individual’s personal level of sexual and/or romantic attraction is unique. ⁠

🖤 While there can be overlap between the identities, not all aromantic people are asexual, and vice versa!⁠
