Today’s the reason Pride exists.
A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to go to the Stonewall Inn, and it affected me so profoundly that I broke down in tears.
Over 50 years ago Sylvia Rivera, Marsha P Johnson, & Stormé DeLarverie started a riot, and here we are AGAIN fighting for our rights. 

I can’t vote yet, and I’m furious. 

YOUR VOTE MATTERS, don’t you think for a minute that it doesn’t. 
You need to vote for me, and for the Transgender kids who can’t get their medication, and for the Genderfluid kids who don’t use the bathroom at school, AND for the Gay and Lesbian kids who may never be able to legally marry. This isn’t just hype, or words. My generation depends on you to fill out a piece of paper, and it is going to take every single one of you to do it. 

Yes we can wear rainbows, and do Drag, and wave our flags, but after all of the rainbow commercialism ends at the end of the month, everybody seems to forget we still have work to do.
