After tying the franchise’s all-time win streak, the #Magic have only grabbed two wins over their last eight. What’s gone wrong? ⤵️

➤ #PaoloBanchero, despite averaging just short of 21 PPG, has been crucially inefficient from the field (35.6% FG over his last four). His ability to get to the line (61 FT attempts since Dec. 2) has saved his scoring totals and kept the Magic close in a number of our losses. 

➤ #FranzWagner, like Paolo, just seems to have his confidence shaken. Averaging nearly 20 PPG through Orlando’s 2-6 stretch, he’s far from an offensive non-factor. His biggest concern is 3PT shooting — he’s made just two threes (on 23 attempts) over his last five. We know what he’s capable of as a shooter, and shot selection isn’t the issue, but the ball just cannot find the bottom of the net. 

➤ As much as I love #AnthonyBlack and believe that these starting reps are great for his long-term development, it’s become increasingly evident that we are missing #MarkelleFultz as a starter. He’s more of an offensive threat and spends more time facilitating our offense. In his absence, you see a lot of the ball-handling duties falling on P5. 

➤ #WendellCarterJr is back, and while there’s a debate surrounding his competency as a rim protector, he is undoubtedly our starter moving forward. #GogaBitadze and #MoritzWagner are just too one-sided in their own regards to hand those starting duties to. He may take some time to get back to 100%, but it’s for the best of the team.
