What do these terms mean? Simply put, players like Fultz and Isaac have a dead cap hit of $2.0M and $7.6M respectively. Meaning, if they are to be released prior to tomorrow’s deadline, the Magic will have to pay them those amounts. If Harris and Bol are released, they will have no effect on the dead cap. 

In terms of team options, these are options that the Magic can choose to carry over onto the 2023-24 payroll if picked up. For instance, if the Magic choose to pick up Goga’s option, he will make $3.1M guaranteed next season. If he is not picked up, then we won’t have to pay him.
