After recording a key strikeout against the St. Louis Cardinals, Abner Uribe celebrated in a controversial way by making WWE-style “crotch chop” gestures toward the Cardinals’ dugout. While the Brewers were in control of the game, the celebration was seen by many as a direct taunt aimed at the opposing team rather than a normal display of excitement.

Major League Baseball reviewed the incident and determined that Uribe’s actions were inappropriate. As a result, he received a one-game suspension and an undisclosed fine. Uribe later apologized for the gesture, acknowledging that he let his emotions take over during a heated rivalry game.
