PLAYING WITH ONE HAND: Anyone with a mindset of “field every ball with 2 hands” should look away. When players and coaches talk about playing with one hand, this is what they mean. Being able to get down hill, eliminate space and allow your movements to be free vs forcing yourself to catch with two hands. Im not saying every ground ball should be caught with one hand, but I am saying being able to free up and get comfortable using one can really add benefit to picking a hop. The way I think about it is fielding with one hand is a must, two hands is a luxury that we don’t always get to use. Best to know how to do both. #PryorDevelopment
