Nobody told me this part was coming.

I thought I was doing the right thing. 
Every professional I trusted confirmed it.

What nobody told me was that a nervous system in alarm cannot be reasoned with, rewarded out of it, or forced through it. 

It can only be made to feel safe.

The day I understood that, everything changed.

My daughter missed over 100 days of school in one year. 
She got into her first choice university.
