Galveston is home to the third largest Mardi Gras celebration in the country, roping in thousands of bead-covered celebrators every year. 

Celebrations in Galveston this year start on Friday and run the first two weekends of the month and Feb. 13.

Some Galveston Mardi Gras celebrations this weekend will be adjusted by an hour on Saturday in preparation of heavy rain chances.
