Four Houston streets that are prone to crash incidents are getting major safety upgrades. The City of Houston was awarded a $10.1 million grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation to help aid in providing improved safety features.

Officials said the identified streets run through under-served communities. Many residents are without cars and have to walk or take public transportation.
