Hey, stargazers! It's your time to shine. The annual Perseid meteor shower will be visible in the Houston area this weekend. Starting Friday night, spectators can watch the meteor shower through Saturday, and possibly Sunday night. 

Carolyn Sumners from the hmns told houstonmatters that sky watchers could get a better view away from the city's light pollution. 

Here are 5 stargazing locations:

📍 Sam Houston National Forest
