❤️ I am pleased to announce that ‘Trembling Sunrise’ has been acquired by M+ museum in Hong Kong. It’s been a wonderful landmark acquisition for me in part because my parents are from HK and that I have moved there for the majority of the year since January. I feel embraced. 

It is also special because the painting once belonged to Ellen Josefowitz who sadly passed away. She was a patron of my art and a remarkable friend who sent me on road trips including an incredible Silk Road journey because she wanted to help inspire my development of art. I wish I could have told her again how much she helped with sustaining my continuation as an artist and that a painting she believed in is now a part of one of the most important museums in the world and to myself personally. I think she would have loved to know this - Thank you Ellen, I miss your warm smile, beautiful gaze and love for art. Thank you to the Josefowitz family for trusting me and my team with placing the work. 

Thank you to Sunny Cheung for persevering and helping push this acquisition into the arms of M+ 😊 Also to galeriedumonde for displaying the collection for the museum to choose from! And of course to my studio team especially inezsuenart who helped with the endless logistics and paperwork! 

I am showing more of Ellen Josefowitz’s collection of my work in my forthcoming closeltd solo show, a 20 year cross section in June 2026 and also in my forthcoming solo show at Thames Side Studios gallery in October 2026. Please feel free to message me for further details, to tour, acquire etc
