He made his directorial debut with Charlotte and later directed Fate/Apocrypha and The Day I Became a God. His work Buddy Daddies won the Best Original Anime Award at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2024. He is known for his nuanced portrayal of ensemble youth dramas and everyday life, with a directorial style that carefully captures relationships and character dynamics. 💞
