Your knee only bends and straightens. So why is it being forced to twist? 3 drills to fix the real culprit.
Cracking, popping, grinding knees are not a knee problem. Read that again.

Your knee is a hinge. It does one thing: bend and straighten. It was never designed to twist, rotate, or absorb lateral force. But that’s exactly what it’s being asked to do when the joints above and below it stop working.

The hip joint is built for rotation. When it stiffens from hours of sitting, that rotational demand doesn’t disappear. It gets shoved downward into the knee. The ankle is built for dorsiflexion, the ability to drive forward over the toes. When it locks up from shoes with rigid soles or years of immobility, that demand gets pushed upward. The knee sits in the middle, absorbing forces from both directions that it was never engineered to handle. The grinding and popping you hear is friction from a hinge joint being forced to do a ball-and-socket joint’s job.

This reel covers a three-drill protocol targeting tibial rotation and ankle dorsiflexion to take the pressure off the knee by restoring function to the joints that should be handling the load.

Save this for your next session.
