The craziest part about this play is how different NBA history might look if that shot falls. 🤯

The Thunder were already up 1-0 in the 2012 Finals and had a golden opportunity to take a 2-0 lead against LeBron, Wade, and the Heat. Kevin Durant had the moment in his hands, rose up over LeBron, appeared to draw contact, and the whistle never came. A few seconds later, Miami escaped with the win, took control of the series, and went on to win four straight games.

One possession. One no-call. One shot that could’ve completely altered the trajectory of OKC’s young dynasty. Maybe Durant gets his first ring in Oklahoma City. Maybe Harden never gets traded. Maybe the Thunder become the league’s next powerhouse. We’ll never know for sure, but it’s crazy how a single play can change the course of basketball history forever. 🐍🏆
