Russian President Vladimir Putin claimed Tehran never asked for weapons and Moscow hadn’t supplied any, speaking at Friday’s St Petersburg International Economic Forum session. ⁣

"I think the Iranians, I do not know if they are aware, but they could receive information not only from our satellites but also from others, from commercial ones, which easily and simply implement this as a product on a commercial basis. As for weapons, Iran did not ask us for this, and we did not supply any weapons to Iran," he said. ⁣

Tensions between Iran and the United States are still ongoing, despite a ceasefire that came into effect on April 8 to halt the fighting.⁣
