When your entire identity, self-worth, and emotional stability depend on one person, rejection doesn’t just hurt it feels like survival is at stake.

That’s why some heartbreaks feel unbearable.

Not because the love was deeper.

But because too much of your identity was attached to the outcome.

Movies romanticise obsession.

Psychology asks a different question:

Who are you when the person you love is no longer available to validate you?
