Chayka, 36, was the general manager and eventual president of hockey operations of the now defunct Arizona Coyotes (2016-2020), acquiring key players like Clayton Keller, Jakob Chychrun, Phil Kessel, Nick Schmaltz, Taylor Hall, and Darcy Kuemper.

The Jordan, Ontario native became the youngest GM in NHL history at 26 years old through his work launching Stathletes, the premiere hockey analytics company.

He and new senior executive advisor of Hockey Ops. Mats Sundin will collaborate together and primarily report to MLSE President and CEO Keith Pelley.
