For more than 15 years, Tim McKinney, TFM ’08, MSW ’14, has worked to create spaces where young people can thrive.

As the School District of Philadelphia's first LGBTQIA+ Student Supports Manager, Tim works to help students feel seen, supported, and empowered throughout their educational journey. Previously, he served as LGBTQ+ Resource and Program Director at Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence, where he helped create mentoring and support opportunities for young people across the region.

His career in social work, youth development, and advocacy is driven by a commitment to strengthening communities and creating opportunities for others.
